Common in gardens, on arable and waste land, roadsides and on walls Solitary bright blue flowers with a paler, whitish lower petal, the flower-stalks longer than the leaves. The 2-lobed fruit capsule is broader than high, +/- heart-shaped. Coarse-toothed downy leaves, lower leaves opposite, upper alternate. Similar: Grey Field-speedwell, V. polita.
