Garden escape An introduction from SW Europe now found throughout England (but less frequent in Scotland, Wales and Ireland) on hedgebanks, roadsides and waste ground. Cymes of bright blue flowers with white centres. Seeds freely and can be invasive. Leaves are oval or oval-lanceolate, un-toothed, the lower leaves stalked, upper more/less stalkless. Very stiff-hairy plant. Height: 30-60 cm |
