Perennial or biennial Can be very common on damp acidic or calcareous soils including fields, roadsides, heaths and damp woodland Blue-mauve flowers, the short outer florets surrounded by involucral bracts. Stalked oval-lanceolate leaves are +/- hairy, shallowly toothed or entire, and mainly near the base of the plant. Erect stems with narrow stem leaves. Height to 120cm. |
