Common Fumitory Fumaria officinalis Flowering time: May-October. Annual. Archaeophyte Usually found on dry, disturbed, calcareos soils on arable land, wasteground and in gardens and allotments The racemes of light reddish-purple flowers are longer than their stalks and the flowers have dark purple tips and irregularly toothed sepals. Fruit sometimes weakly notched at the tip. Grey-green leaves with narrow, flat leaflets on weak, scrambling or erect stems. All the Fumitories can be very similar and often difficult to identify |
