Sea Aster Tripolium pannonicum (Aster tripolium) Flowering July-October. Annual, biennial or perennial. Native Mainly found on coastal salt-marshes, muddy estuary banks and on tidal river banks. On western coasts it also grows on sea-cliffs and among rocks A branched, erect, hairless plant with fleshy, +/- untoothed leaves and clusters of blue or pale mauve flowers with yellow centres. The stems are sometimes red-tinged and the flowers are occasionally white |
