 Dewberry Rubus caesius Flowering time: May-September. Perennial. Native Prefers basic, often damp, soils in hegebanks, woodland edges, scrubby grassland and dunes Sprawling or creeping plant, stems with slender prickles. Leaves have three deep-toothed leaflets with stalkless lateral leaflets. White flowers are followed by edible blue-black fruit with erect sepals and silvery-blue bloom Hybridises with Brambles, Rubus fruticosus agg.  |
