Clinopodium ascendens * Common Calamint Flowering time: July - September. Perennial Habitat: Found on dry, calcareous soils. Roadsides, rough grassland and rocky ground in southern areas of England and Ireland. An erect, hairy, aromatic plant, the tall flowering spikes having whorls of pinkish-white flowers with darker spots on the lower lip. The stalked leaves are shallow-toothed or untoothed with adpressed hairs. Height 30-60cm |
