Flowering time: June-September. Annual

Habitat: Found on dry, infertile, sandy grasslands and heaths, dunes and waste ground

A small, slender plant with clusters of 3-6 flowerheads, each cluster 5-8mm in width. The widely-spaced, narrow greyish leaves are covered with white-woolly hairs. Upper leaves are shorter than the clusters of flowerheads above them. Height 5-15cm
