Parsley Water-dropwort Oenanthe lachenalii Flowering time: July-September. Perennial. Mainly coastal where it can be locally common on salt-marshes and rough grassland, also found in inland fens. White flowers in 7-12 slender-rayed terminal umbels followed by egg-shaped fruit, the styles shorter than fruit. Bracts and bracteoles are usually present. The lower leaves are twice-pinnate but soon wither. Slender solid stems, sometimes slightly hollow with age, the stem leaves pinnate with narrow linear leaf segments. Cylindrical tubers develop from stem base. Height 30-100cm. |
