Buck's-horn Plantain Plantago coronopus Flowering time: May-July. Biennial. Common in coastal areas on dry sand, gravel, short grassland, rocks and cliffs, also inland in SE and central England. Leaves can be very variable. The flower spikes are brownish with yellow stamens, the spikes shorter than their unridged stalks. Leaves are in a flat basal rosette, usually hairy and more/less deeply pinnately lobed but this can vary. Height 10-25cm |
