Ground-elder Aegopodium podagraria Flowering time: May-July. Perennial. Widespread and very invasive on moist nitrogenous soils in waste ground, gardens, woods, river banks and road sides. Hollow flower stems with terminal umbels of white flowers without bracts or bracteoles followed by small ovoid fruit. Spreads very rapidly by means of subterranean rhizomes bearing numerous basal leaves, the leaflets toothed, pointed and hairless. Height: 40-70cm |
