Hedge Bedstraw Galium album (Galium mollugo) Flowering time: June-September. Perennial. Native Common throughout England and Wales on base-rich soil in open woodland and hedges, less frequent in Scotland and Ireland. A hairless or slightly downy scrambling plant with 4-angled smooth stems and terminal clusters of small white 4-petalled flowers followed by smooth black fruit.
