Andricus sieboldi Agamic generation - photographs on Quercus, Oak Photographs confirmed by Dr Willem Ellis (www.bladmineerders.nl) Hosts: Agamic and sexual generations on Quercus petraea, robur Agamic - usually on trunks near ground level. Galls gregarious, 3-5mm in diameter, ridged, conical, the tips often pointed. Exit hole at side of gall Sexual - not yet recorded in Britain. Smooth bud gall (to 2.5mm tall) on young branches.
