Identity of adults uncertain Hosts: Agamic on Quercus faginea, petraea, pyrenaica, robur Sexual on Quercus cerris, also Q. faginea, petraea, pyrenaica, robur Agamic - irregularly shaped gall to 5cm, the many chambers each with a single larva. Occurs on shallow or exposed roots and is initially soft, becoming hard and woody. Sexual - swelling in petiole or midrib with single, round gall chamber. More obvious swelling when several galls coalesce. Adult needs rearing to separate from identical gall of A. testaceipes |
