Very local distribution on mature Oak and Sycamore in old parkland and woods. BLS conservation evaluation: LC NS

Cracked pale grey or whitish thallus, the black perithecia slightly domed and +/- globose. Pycnidia with globose base tapering to thin neck, 0.2-0.6mm wide, 0.2-0.5mm high. Asci are 8-spored, spores 12.5-13 x 6.5-7.5 µm. Conidia 5.5-6.5 x 2.5-3 µm, sometimes extruded as a tendril.
