Acarospora fuscata Growth type crustose Chemical results: K-, C+ red, KC+ red Nitrogen-enriched siliceous sites: wall tops, churchyard monuments, rock outcrops and ledges, bird-perching sites. Never found on limestone. Yellow-brown to reddish-brown, angular areoles with sunken reddish-brown discs. Thallus resembles a patch of dry, cracked mud.
