Podetia funnel-shaped, tapering, Exterior with coarse granules and occasionally squamules, interior granular, soredia absent. Brown apothecia. Possibly an ecotype of Cladonia pyxidata. Associated lichenicolous fungi include Diploschistes muscorum, Didymocyrtis cladoniicola and Didymocyrtis foliaceiphila |
