Psilolechia leprosa Growth type crustose /leprose Chemical results: K-, C+ red, UV- On sheltered, vertical copper-rich rocks, old mine buildings, copper-stained brick walls, churchyard memorials and below metal window grilles and pipes. Small streaks and patches of pale green, whitish-grey or yellowish-grey leprose-granular crusts often merging to cover larger areas. Apothecia usually present, the pale pink discs fading to brown. Asci are 8-spored, the spores 0-1 septate, tear-drop shaped, 4.5-7 x 1.5-2 µm. Similar: Psilolechia lucida is bright yellow-green, apothecia rare |
