Very common on rich, nitrogenous ground in gardens and on arable and waste ground.

A very variable plant with whitish or whitish-pink clusters of flowers. The whole plant is +/- greyish mealy with angular stems and greyish-green leaves, diamond-lanceolate shaped, lobed, entire or blunt-toothed.

Similar: Common Orache, Atriplex patula. Triangular fruit bracteoles
