Smooth Hawk's-beard Crepis capillaris Flowering time: June-September. Annual or biennial Very common on waste and arable ground, heaths, grassland and roadsides. Prefers poor, dry, acidic soils. Erect buds followed by small yellow flowers, the petals often reddish underneath. Hairless leaves, the basal leaves pinnate with narrow toothed lobes, the smaller upper leaves stalkless and clasping stems. |
