Found in wet meadows and bogs on damp sandy or peaty soils

Small white flowers, appearing pink because of crimson veins, the calyx 5-lobed. A tiny creeping plant, rooting at stem nodes, the opposite leaves short-stalked, broad-oval or rounded.
