Flowering time: June-August. Perennial. Native

Grows on calcareous grassland and roadsides and sometimes on heathland over chalk and limestone rocks. A frequent garden plant and can also be found as a garden escape

Similar to Meadowsweet but smaller with more flattened flowerheads and fewer but larger creamy-white flowers and pink-tinged buds. The leaves have 8-20 pairs of deeply-pinnate, narrow leaflets.
