Family: Convolvulaceae Hybrid Bindweed Calystegia sepium x silvatica (Calystegia x lucana) Flowering time: April-October. Distribution is uncertain owing to uneven recording but probaby widespread and more frequent in urban areas. The hybrid is very variable and can show a range of characterists. The bracteoles are the best guide and usually intermediate between those of the parents. Some flowers can have noticeably abnormal bracteoles e.g unequal size, more than two present or with a second flower in the axil Similar: Hedge Bindweed C. sepium and Large Bindweed C. silvatica
