Found on disturbed waste ground, roadsides, scrub and river-sides.

A branched, aromatic plant with erect, reddish stems bearing narrow panicles of tiny red-brown flowers with leaf-like lower bracts. The deeply divided leaves are dark-green above, greyish-white and downy below. Height 60-120cm
