Dasineura acrophila

Gall on Fraxinus excelsior, Ash

Hosts:
Fraxinus angustifolia, americana, excelsior, ornus, pallisiae

A partially or completely thickened leaflet that creates a pod folded upwards over the midrib. Contains many white larvae, the gut content greenish-blue. Univoltine, pupating in the soil.

Macrolabis pavida is an iniquiline of Dasineura acrophila, the white larvae lacking colouration of the gut content (see photographs below).
The iniquiline Clinodiplosis invocata has yellowish larvae
