Growth type placodioid (crustose with lobed margins)
Chemical results: K+ crimson

Found on mortar, tombstones, cement and sometimes on nutrient-rich limestone. Rarely found on timber.

Small light-yellow to brownish-orange thallus with long +/- distinct lobes with palmate tips. The centre of the thallus is darker and often disintegrates. Inner lobes have granular orange-yellow soredia. Apothecia are occasional.
