Common Broomrape Orobanche minor Flowering: June-September. Usually annual. Native / introduced Parasitic mainly on Fabaceae and Asteraceae in a range of habitats. Several subspecies recognised e.g subsp. minor (probably introduced) on cultivated land and subsp. maritima (native) on coastal cliffs The two-lipped flowers are usually dull yellowish, tinged purple and equal to or shorter than bracts.
