Peltigera praetextata Growth type foliose Chemical reactions negative Found among moss on damp, sheltered rocks, soil and trees, prefers damp sites in woodland and on heathland Large grey-brown lobes with grey-white tomentum and bullate surface. Lobe margins and thallus cracks are covered with dense brown-grey isidia. Rhizines smooth, +/- simple. Isidia are often absent when fertile. Spores acicular, 35-58 x 2.5-5 µm.
