Porina ginzbergeri Growth type crustose. BLS conservation evaluation: DD NR Chemical results negative. Involucrellum violet, K+ blue-grey Rare, a Mediterranean species recorded from a few locations in Britain and Ireland on shaded limestone and calcareous siliceous rocks Thallus pale green-grey to orange-brown, very occasionally greyish black, immersed to superficial, then cracked. Perithecia quarter immersed to prominent, asci 8-spored, spores (19-)21.5-40(-45) x 4-7 µm, (5-)7(-8) septate. Microscope photographs below.
