Parasitic on Lecanora chlarotera but not causing much damage to the host

A poorly developed brown mycelium with dark-brown to blackish conidial stromata that can be very variable in length depending on the maturity of the specimen. Conidia are subspherical to ellipsoidal with (3-)4-6(-8) cells visible and 4-9(-16) in total. Conidia (5.5-)7-10(-13) x (5-)6.5-9(-11) µm, the cells brown (2.5-)3.5-4.5(-6) µm diam. Similar: Lichenostigma alpinum and L. maureri occur on different hosts and have larger conidia containing more cells
