Bionectriaceae
Pronectria oligospora Growth type lichenicolous Photographs on Punctelia subrudecta Occurs on the thallii of Punctelia species, but is most frequently recorded on P. subrudecta. Probably widespread but under-recorded. Single or grouped small, subglobose perithecia are immersed in the thallus. The ostiolar region is erumpent through the thallus, dark pink-red becoming reddish-brown when mature. Asci 8-spored, the spores 1-septate, hyaline, 14-20(-22) x 4.5-6.5 µm. Micrographs below.
