Chemical results negative

Found on deciduous trees with smooth bark, most frequent on young Fraxinus, and also Corylus and Populus tremula

Thin whitish thallus is superficial or +/- immersed, prothallus absent. Apothecia are flat to convex, red-brown to brownish-black, margins thin or excluded. Asci 8-spored, spores simple, (8-)9-14(-18) x 3-4.5(-5) µm. Micrographs below.
