Season: April-May

Food plants: Mainly Birch (Betula) and Hazel (Corylus), sometimes found on Hornbeam (Corylus) or Apple (Malus)
Mine: May-June
Larvae create a blotch mine then drop to the ground in a case made from the leaf excisions.
