Widespread, very common
Wingspan: 28-40mm.

Season: Two generations, February-May and July-August
Habitat: Rural and urban woodlands, hedgerows, scrub and gardens

Larvae feed on a wide range of woody herbaceous plants including Hawthorn, Birch, Honeysuckle and Bog Myrtle
