Food plants: Deciduous trees including Elm, Birch, Alder and Hazel
Mine: Late September to late October and April-June
Larvae form two cases, the first from a fragment of a leaf in which the larva hibernates, then a second is formed in May with a more or less serrated dorsal keel.

Adults require breeding or gen. det. for identification
