Lichenicolous fungus. Photographs on Dirina massiliensis f. sorediata

Recorded on Trentepohlia-containg lichens; Lecanactis amylacea, Lecanographa lyncea, Dirina massiliensis, also Opegrapha atra and Schismatomma decolorans.

Minute black spots develop into brownish-black or black patches of sporodochia. These become slightly convex, scattered or merging into larger patches and produce clusters of greenish-brown or brownish-black soft, folded conidia. Micrographs below.
