Scoliciosporum sarothamni Growth type crustose Chemical results: Soralia C+ red but fleeting, virtually impossible to see Usually on +/- nutrient-rich tree trunks, branches and twigs. Probably more widespread than shown on BLS map but easy to overlook as usually sterile Thallus continuous or +/- granular-warted, yellowish-grey to grey-green, forming rounded or ellipsoid sorediate patches without obvious prothallus. Usually sterile but when fertile apothecia biatorine, pale brown to blackish, greener in shade. Asci 8-spored, spores 3-7 septate, strongly curved and mainly S-shaped, 20-40 x 2-3.4 µm.
