Parmeliaceae Flavoparmelia soredians Growth type foliose Medulla and soredia: K+ yellow slowly turning red, UV- Found on well-lit, often dusty trees, fences, roofs and rocks. Range seems to be increasing as pollution levels drop. Similar to F. caperata but smaller thallus with narrower and more adpressed lobes. The soredia is powdery rather than granular. Apothecia are rare but usually contain mature spores. Similar: Flavoparmelia caperata. Medulla K+/- dirty-yellow
