Local in Dorset, urban and marshy areas Wingspan: 55-65mm Flight time: July-August Habitat: Damp woodland, marshes, gardens and waste ground. Hides in sheds and old buildings during the day. Larvae feed on a range of herbaceous plants in the autumn and on leaves of woody plants (including Blackthorn and Ivy) during spring. |
