Can be frequent on dusty, nutrient-enriched shaded trees and rocks. Often found in the 'canine-zone' at the base of trees in urban areas

Small, adpressed, greenish-brown thallus that can spread over large areas, the upper surface with yellowish-green soredia. Under surface is white with some white rhizines. Apothecia are infrequent, discs brown with smooth, swollen margins. Mature spores brown, 1-septate, 10-20 x 7-9 Ám. Microscope photograph below.
